Year 7 and Nursery Buddy Reading

7th Mar 2019

As part of festival of words this week Year 7 were very excited to be invited over to the Nursery to take part in a buddy reading session. Morgan, I really liked reading with nursery and the way they asked us questions. Hugo, I thought it was fun and I think they enjoyed it as well. I would like to do it again. Madison, I was very impressed with how well the children listened and they were fully engaged. Logan, It was fun trying to get them to read more. I thought it was good to be able to read and talk through the picture books and they read. Evie, I thought it was a good way to try and encourage children to read more both Year 7's and nursery pupils. Naomi, I thought they were really engaged in the stories and I was pleased when they were pointing at the pictures and talking about what we were reading. Danni, I learnt some new facts from the book I was reading with my buddy. Everyone agreed it was a fun, worthwhile activity that we would like to do again. Let's look forward to some warmer weather and we will have a reading session outside!
