Highlights of Year 7:  Year 7 is a busy and exciting year.  As part of our transition programme we visit local post-primary schools where we take part in their lesson sampling activities. We welcome visitors from local post-primary schools to talk to our pupils and answer questions. During the summer term the pupils are engaged in a variety of lessons and activities to help them to prepare for moving to their new school in September.

Year 7 pupils are given the opportunity of going on a residential trip where they participate in exciting activities such as canoeing, archery, abseiling, orienteering and many others.

As part of our history topic the pupils dress up as Victorians and we visit Sentry Hill to learn about William Fee McKinney.

We also take part in the Cycling Proficiency Scheme and Heartstart where the children learn emergency life support skills. ICT plays a very important part in the teaching and learning throughout Year 7.

We hope you find Year 7 to be a fun filled and action packed experience.
