Mike, from The World of Owls, came to visit us. He introduced us to 2 amazing owls. We met Bowie, who was a barn owl and Harley, who was a Eurasian Eagle owl. We all got to stroke Bowie’s tummy and it was so soft. Harley flapped his wings for us, but only if we said please. Harley is a very famous owl who has appeared on Harry Potter and many other programmes. We learned about the food owls eat, where their ears are located, when they go out to hunt and how many live in Ireland today.
We also met a hissing cockroach, a bearded dragon, a snake and a rescued hedgehog!
