The Eco team have been encouraging the school to think of ways to reduce single use plastic. We have reduced the number of straws used in our school daily from 150 per day to just 49 a day. This small change has an amazing impact on our environment. In 1 week we will have used 505 less straws and in 1 month that will be 2,020 less straws in our oceans! The boys and girls in Whitehouse Primary are working really hard on changing the throw away culture. The next time you are out try not to use a plastic straw or cup that will only be used once.
